The perfect CRO possesses all the qualities of an in-house clinical department with the additional advantage of swift personnel resources. Factory has a compact and transparent organization with out unnecessary overhead. The people that Factory employs are all experienced in the medical device business and have medical backgrounds.

Though Factory possesses all the qualities of an ideal in-house clinical department, we realize that we are not in-house. Therefore communication is a vital part of the relationship between the CRO and its clients. Factory sets up short communication lines between the customer and the project manager on the management level, giving the customer access to information and progress reports at any time. The customer chooses the format, style, and frequency of the updates that best match his company. Since you have invested your time, money and faith in this device it is important that you are kept up to date every step of the way.

While performing the clinical trial for CE or FDA approval, valuable data is collected. Though this data is valuable for the approval of the device, it may also come in handy for the steps following the CE mark/FDA approval. While gathering data in a clinical trial it is important to plan ahead and see whether this data may be used again in the future or whether additional data may be collected at this stage that will benefit the steps later on. This approach simplifies and shortens later phases that your device must go through and in the long run will save you time and money.
